Main Stay WELCOMES EVERYONE to an OPEN HOUSE Saturday, 9/6 (2:00pm - 5:00pm). See student DEMOS! Please RSVP to 815-653-9374.

What We Do

Children and adults are offered individually designed learning opportunities that are structured to help them in a variety of areas. For many of our students, the simple act of riding has had a significant effect and helped to:

Improve their physical condition
Increase coordination and balance
Instill confidence and self-esteem
Improve their decision-making and social skills

Medical practitioners, licensed therapists, special education teachers and parents, typically refer students to Main Stay. They receive intense, one-on-one attention from trained/certified instructors that are assisted by a corps of dedicated volunteers. Many of the lessons learned from the back of a horse are transferred to noticeable improvements in the student's daily activities.
